What's in a NAME...????

Image
You all have come across the phrase "What's in a name..??" What does it mean to you..?? For me, my NAME means everything... It something so closely attached to me, so much a part of me that I don't even need to be conscious while saying my name.. And I am sure, it would be the same with everyone. We are all very possessive about our name. Even hearing someone calling out our name sounds so sweet at times, no matter how common the name may be and when we meet someone with the same name as ours, we immediately feel a sense of bonding with that person. We suddenly identify the same kind of problems with our names, the mistakes people make, the jokes played cracked and the most important...... the way they call you out..... It dint matter to me if someone called me by a different name or rather say different versions of my name... I don't have a problem when people call me with different names but then I don't like people who are not so familiar to me, calling

Hiee all.. It has been some time that I have been away from "My Corner" and the reason for it is is I am busy at some other corner. This corner is my workplace . I am loving my new job a lot. Actually there are so many interesting things around that I can blog everyday about the new things I found but after coming back home I am so tired that I just check my updates, leave a few comments and then I am off to sleep. Today I finally completed one whole post and yeah I end my ramblings here so that you can proceed to the post.. :P I had heard a lot about things changing while moving from Campus To Corporate.. Everyone said the world out there is hard to survive in , competitive and you have to prove yourself in every field. I had my own perceptions about it.. Call it dreams or my expectations, I always wanted it to be a place with good people around and this place is really wonderful... After a few days in here, this is my take at the changes I found while transforming from

FaceBook IN, Orkut OUT...???

Image
I still remember the day when I was asked by my cousin "Are you on Orkut..??" and I was like, "Orkut..??? What is that..??" Yeah I dont mind to admit that I was at that time really dumb about these things.. specially to this whole world of Internet and social networking. That was about some four years back... I did not even have an email ID before that. The reason for it was mainly ignorance.. I did not know that outside my world there is so much more to explore and I never even felt the need for such a medium of communication.... Then after my junior college I began to know things about Internet and orkutting and mailing etc. etc.. It was an awesome period discovering new things and finding I was finding it amazing... The whole concept of social networking fascinated me. "Orkut" was the first social networking site I joined. I loved to create profile, fill in all the details and the DP... that is the best part about it.... I always upload cute pictures
