Bhool Bhulaiya Solved...!!!

"Ohkk.. So When you get down, just go to ur right hand side straight & u'll find a shop 'Girnar' It is very big..I'll be just waiting opposite it."

"Arey woh McDonalds wala road hai naa..usme hi aage jaake turn legi to wahan pe shop hai... Kisi ko bhi puch naa, you will find it."

"Arey get down before the flyover starts & take the service road straight.. Then take your first right & you'll reach the office..."

Left, right, straight, curves, turns & what not..?? Uff this big city & so many directions..... I just was lost in this whole scene that I frequently called this city - "Thane" a Bhool bhulaiya. Every time my dad or friends instructed me about finding any location in this place, I would seriously avoid going there alone.. I would accompany someone or try to get my work done somewhere else....

But.. but ..but... Three months ago, I was posted at THANE branch of my bank & I had to go this HUGE city daily. I was seriously wondering how would I go there.. Which road to take, which platform the train would stop on...?? Which road would lead to office...etc etc etc...!!!

I slowly got to know the things around. In the beginning I just travelled straight from the road I knew... Then after a few days, I started to explore other routes on my way. I tried going from all the lefts, rights & parallel roads that lead to my office... It was then that I discovered that everything was so perfect. It was all built in squares & had perpendicular corners & turns. It all brought you back to the same place after a whole round was completed. Then the city no longer frightened me. I checked out a few flyovers & which areas they connected. The city is so big that the more you go into the heart of it, the more you can explore.. But by now, I have come to know all the major areas, localities, routes & landmarks. So now, if I get any directions about the left, right or turns to take to reach any place, there surely wont appear a question mark on my face but a smile that means the Bhool Bhulaiya is already solved.. Set up some other maze now...!! :P :)

Missing you too.....

"Hiee.. How are you..?? Hope you remember me..??"

"Yeah..Of course...I do... I mean how can I forg...???"

"Why can't you..???"Just look at the number of times you have visited me in the past two months..."

"So what dear..?? I have been busy all this while.. You know it right...??"

"Yeah..Your priorities have changed..."

"No.. It's not about priorities.. You are still on my priority list ... It's just that sometime I can't spend as much time with you & so..."

"There you go explaining....I don't want to hear them.. Stop them please.. I'm happy the way I am... You can be happy with what you like."

"You know that you are very important to me... How can you think of me like that...??"

"Then what should I think..?? Remember in the beginning we spent so much of time together & now you have no time only.. So what else should I think...??"

"Hmm.. I understand what you mean & I know that I have been away for a while now. But seriously, things around are so difficult that I am not able to devote more time for you.. I promise that it won't happen in the future...!! We would be as close as much as we had been earlier... in the beginning.. I am seriously longing for that time to be back.."

"I am missing you.... "

"Me too Dear Blog..!!!!!"

P.S.: Just thought that if my blog could speak, what all accusations it would have made on me for being so irregular here these days..!! :P :D

Hmm..But as I said, it has been a bit of tight schedule & I would soon be back with more posts, more frequently and also with more comments on all your blogs too..!!

Missing you.. TC :)

A Day in the life of "He" & "She"......

2nd December,2006

Ohh God, What A day.....!!!??!!! I was happy that at last I saw him today.. As the time was nearing, I was wondering if he would come or not but he just came in in the last minute..He was looking so cute in that red shirt..Aha, suits him perfectly well...

Bu what after he came?? He was talking to everyone around except me... Or Was I feeling so..?? He never notices me & how come I notice him every time he even passes by...?? I think he should understand that I like him when I look at him..? When will he understand.. ? And what if someone else notices it before he does..?? He is really stupid I know... It would take ages for him to understand.. Maybe I should tell that to him....

Tell..?? But when he asks me something why do I seem to forget all the words..?? I just end up blabbering something or the other and in a minute he is gone asking that to someone else.. Why can't I talk properly to him when he asks me?? Why can't he wait & talk to me about other things too...?? I know so many things......... about school, teachers, subjects, competitions, sports... But he needs to talk to others only it seems.... Maybe tomorrow I'll tell him about our new semester & books....

Good night Diary... Apart from this there was nothing special today...!!

Love ya, Ur so so so sweet & my besssssttttttttttt Friend..........!! :) : )

2nd December,2006

Ahh.. I have to talk about her only today.... I know dude you must be bored listening about her everyday but with each passing day I have begun to like her more & more & more... I hope that one day she would realise this & also like me as much as I do...

The black dress she was wearing today was looking so good on her. I bet it could look that good only on her.. Nobody else would have carried it off in a better way... And those dimples when she smiles... They are so killer God....... But I wonder why doesn't she smile when I look at her.. ??

Maybe she does not like me.. She is always confused or afraid while talking to me... I don't understand how to talk to her.. She is always busy with those other girls who are not even half as good as she is.. Why does she have to waste her time talking to them..??? I am wondering what should I ask her tomorrow..?? I think I should ask her about new books and where to buy them and all.. She must have already bought and started studying... Ahh how can these girls be so sincere & yet so cute at the same time..??!!!???

This mystery will never be resolved it seems... I'll tell you what happens tomorrow but for that I have to sleep now or else I'll be late for classes again.... You know even today I reached just dot on time....

Good night...****YAWNS***

P.S. : Just a memoir of the sweet teenage crushes...!!

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 16; the sixteenth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.

"Yeah pink colour suits you. Buy that saree..." Mom finalised for me.

"I had liked that one only from the beginning. ?I'll buy that one only..." & I turned to the shopkeeper.

"Bhaiya yeh pack kar dena...."

"Haan madam, this colour is perfect for you. Diwali ke din aap khub chamkengi..!!"

"Arey, it's not for Diwali.. It is for my reception after Diwali..."

"Ohhh... Shopping for marriage.... So Madam, buy more... This would be your last Diwali at home..??!!!" the shopkeeper questioned.

I nodded but the enthusiasm of shopping vanished. Every time I try to come out of that mood , something or other pops up to remind me of my last days...... I begin to feel low on hearing the word "Last"... It would not mean an end of celebrations but an end to that kind of celebrations.....

No more window shopping & bargaining around with Mom....

No more discussions with Dad about finalising the Diwali gifts...

No more quarrels with Brother over the crackers..

No more arguments with Sis over the matching earrings...

No more fights for chocolates & chaklis....

Surely there would be Diwali again next year & I would celebrate but there won't be the same shopping, the same gifts, the same crackers, the same jewellery, the same chocolates, the same people around.....

There would be a new place, new people, people who have accepted me as a member in their family, people who would care about me but would it be like the same old celebrations?? Or would it be more fun filled celebration??????

"Arey see Ishika, the shopkeeper is not even reducing a paisa.. These people have their own say in price during celebrations.. They know people will buy whatever price they quote..." & suddenly I realised mom was telling me something...

I smiled & tried to connect to what she was saying.

"Arey Mummy its fine.. We have to still reach home & complete the coking.. Lets pay for it quickly.. " I handed over the Debit Card to the cashier & we collected our saree.

Just as we were crossing the street, a marriage procession passed by & mom remarked, "Next month, we would be celebrating your marriage in the same way... Time is flying so quickly.. Oh God......."

Celebrating Marriage..????

Yeah that is what "Marriage" is in India... A festival just like others which comes once in the whole lifetime.. A time to rejoice, to be happy..... An occasion & reason to celebrate... But things about other "CELEBRATIONS" change so much after this one "CELEBRATION" called "MARRIAGE" & I have begun to realise it now...

P.S. : This is a work of Pure Fiction..!!

So presenting You with some quick tips that would help you to know the people around you..!!!

What's in a NAME...????

You all have come across the phrase "What's in a name..??" What does it mean to you..??

For me, my NAME means everything... It something so closely attached to me, so much a part of me that I don't even need to be conscious while saying my name.. And I am sure, it would be the same with everyone. We are all very possessive about our name. Even hearing someone calling out our name sounds so sweet at times, no matter how common the name may be and when we meet someone with the same name as ours, we immediately feel a sense of bonding with that person. We suddenly identify the same kind of problems with our names, the mistakes people make, the jokes played cracked and the most important...... the way they call you out.....

It dint matter to me if someone called me by a different name or rather say different versions of my name... I don't have a problem when people call me with different names but then I don't like people who are not so familiar to me, calling me with short names.. People call me Urvashi ( I really like to be called that), then some call me Urvi (Hmmm.."Urvashi" might be a bit long. So I'm fine with "Urvi" too.. Mostly everyone in family calls me that... ) Uru (it is I guess the shortest possible version of my name and some close friends call me that). Even some blogger friends initially adressed me as "Urvashi from URNER??!!" I was so happy at that time to have my name as part of my blogs name. Then there is another list of being known as so & so's Daughter, so & so's sister, and the customised names and pet names too...

But I have been christened the most in the last few days and that's at my office. Now here, most of the officers are senior and they always introduce themselves with their surnames. I find this really strange because I'm used to address people by their first name. So I even asked for their first names and I prefer calling them that ways. Now the problem started here. I addressed everyone by their first names whereas they are used to being addressed by their surnames and so they found the former strange, so much so that they dint even realise I'm calling out them... On the other hand, they don't remember my name and then they call me with an altogether different name and due to that, I'm christened almost daily at office. "Unnati", "Urmila", "Urmi", "Vrushali", "Aishwarya" are some of the names that I hear daily. Then there area few versions of my surnames too. Then there are customers who would want to know whom they are talking to and when they come back to branch, they just say some girl with name from "U " had called us and then it dawns upon everyone that it must be ME..

I find this all so funny that I wish everyone around remembers my name soon because I find it difficult to respond when someone can't remember my name & call me by the wrong name.... I really wonder how Shakespeare said that "What's in a name..???"

All in a Line....

"NEVER ask a QUESTION that you DON'T need to know the ANSWER to...!!!"

P.S. : Just thought of writing down some effective one-liners that I come across...!!! Found this in Jeffrey Archer's "A Prisoner of Birth".

Have a nice week ahead....TC :)

Hiee all.. It has been some time that I have been away from "My Corner" and the reason for it is is I am busy at some other corner. This corner is my workplace. I am loving my new job a lot. Actually there are so many interesting things around that I can blog everyday about the new things I found but after coming back home I am so tired that I just check my updates, leave a few comments and then I am off to sleep. Today I finally completed one whole post and yeah I end my ramblings here so that you can proceed to the post.. :P

I had heard a lot about things changing while moving from Campus To Corporate.. Everyone said the world out there is hard to survive in , competitive and you have to prove yourself in every field. I had my own perceptions about it.. Call it dreams or my expectations, I always wanted it to be a place with good people around and this place is really wonderful... After a few days in here, this is my take at the changes I found while transforming from a "Bunker" To "Banker"...

  • "TIME" and "DISCIPLINE". Its really important to be on time, no matter wherever you come from and in whatever weather. Excuses like Traffic jam are considered LAME here and when was the last time anyone questioned you in a college for being LATE..???

  • Greetings changed from "Hieee... " to "Good Morning..!! "

  • Dressing is not just about being cool or casual but being presentable....

  • You can't behave as casually as you could when in college. You are responsible even when you put a small TICK mark on a paper....

  • "Aaj mood nahi, kal karte hai" attitude is just not acceptable..

  • At any point of time you could encounter the question "What did you do today?" and the answer has to be a definite one.

  • You can never have have an attitude of "WHO CARES" and "I-KNOW-IT-ALL". It is actually the best place to learn and the more you accept the fact that "I DON'T KNOW", the more you get to learn.

  • Gossiping is a big NO... You can never know how things you once said can get against you... Whereas the best part of college was the CANTEEN CONVERSATIONS about the crushes and the over smart guy and the stupid girl in the class...!!

  • MONTH END no longer means waiting POCKET MONEY but waiting for SALARY...

  • Jokes no longer revolve around professors but customers..!!!

Apart from these there are a few similarities too.. The break is the most enjoyable time of the day. It brings everyone together and its a sort of Round Table Conference with a variety of topics discussed. Weekends are definitely awaited for. Monday mornings brings the same blues....!! Huh...!!

Things are really different "On the other side of Counter" is what I had heard at our induction and it is so true. Being on the other side you need to understand what you had complained once as a customer and now what situation the person who is complaining is in. Once you get to know that you really feel connected to your job and try to give your best. I actually experienced it and now my attitude has changed a lot. The changes do come about eventually if not at DAY-1 and all those who have been through it would surely agree with me that it only helps to make you BETTER...!!!

FaceBook IN, Orkut OUT...???

I still remember the day when I was asked by my cousin "Are you on Orkut..??" and I was like, "Orkut..??? What is that..??" Yeah I dont mind to admit that I was at that time really dumb about these things.. specially to this whole world of Internet and social networking. That was about some four years back... I did not even have an email ID before that. The reason for it was mainly ignorance.. I did not know that outside my world there is so much more to explore and I never even felt the need for such a medium of communication....

Then after my junior college I began to know things about Internet and orkutting and mailing etc. etc.. It was an awesome period discovering new things and finding I was finding it amazing... The whole concept of social networking fascinated me.

"Orkut" was the first social networking site I joined. I loved to create profile, fill in all the details and the DP... that is the best part about it.... I always upload cute pictures of cats, animals, babies, sometimes sayings or quotes on my profile. I loved to change them frequently.. Once in a while I upload my own pic for a few days... I always like to hear from my friends by means of scrap about how they were and what they were doing. Then there are testimonials.. I still find it the best feature of Orkut and I really love personalised testimonials, both- to write and receive.... Scrapping ,chatting, changing status messages, adding videos, discussions in forums.....I never knew when I became so much a part of this world which I dint even know once upon a time...

Then with time, I even created a profile on FaceBook but I never accessed it.. It was mainly because I did not understand the interface only. I always liked and preferred Orkut to FB... I somehow felt that FB had too much of stuff on one page.. the small font, the page divisions , the friend suggestion (I still don't understand how this feature works.. :P It suggests anyone and everyone as friends...!!) I just created a profile for kind of namesake. But since the past few months, I realise that my activity on FaceBoook has increased a lot. I log in frequently out there, check out the updates, comment on some status messages, Like links, share videos, play games, take up answering to quizzes and all such stuff which you know about more than me I guess... ;) But spare me since I am not a Mafia war player or owner of any farm or aquarium there.. ;) :P

Though I use both these sites, I have found that there has been a shift from Orkut to Facebook with regards to many of my friends and now that they are updating statuses all the time, they even have started hating Orkut and criticizing it.... I did not understand this. People there talk about Dumping Orkut and commenting about it. I came across many pages which had names like "Death of Orkut." " Orkut is for Oldies..." etc etc... and these pages had huge fan following... The trend has become like "Facebook In, Orkut out...!!!" I don't understand why people who were on Orkut full time till recently can change their opinion so quickly.I have also started finding facebook as a better option for networking but I have never disliked Orkut and I am sure I never will because it is the first social networking site I joined. It was like a window that helped me to have a look at the whole virtual world.

In the end, Orkut or Facebook does not really make a difference for me as long as I enjoy the time I spend there. Its just that sometimes when people change their opinion so suddenly and so strongly, I wonder how long would they even enjoy FaceBook...??? That time won't be far when some other popular site might pop-up(or it has already...?????) where people would criticize FaceBook..!!!!

P.S.: Really been a long while I wrote something in My Corner... So how are you all and how is this new template??? I loved this one at the first instant when I came across it...!! :)

The HANGOVER...!! (55 fiction)

Mom called "Come for dinner..."

But to me... Everything around seemed so dull and dizzy.... Even keeping my eyelids open was seeming to be a tough task... My head was just spinning like anything.... I drank water, gulped down an Aspirin and decided NEVER EVER TO........

P.S. : I don't know if it was a good attempt at 55 fiction... Actually it's not a fiction. Experinced it last weekend when I went on to read a full small novel but at the end of the day...... Huh.....!! :P :P

TC :)

I am on STRIKE..!!!

Hieee all.. No..Don't go by the title... I am not protesting against anything or going on any hunger strike. .(I can't even imagine that..!! :P)

The "Hello" Boy....

"Bheegi si bhaagi si, Mere bazuo mein samaye....Soti si jaagi si.... " went my ringtone as it flashed some number on the screen.. I picked up the call closing the tab on my screen....

"Hello...!!??" I responded.

"How are you...??? Kab aaye..??"

"Arey bas fine... Just came back yesterday.. Tum batao.. Kya haal hai..?? "

"Nothing much yaar... These breaks are so boringg....."

"You know aaj mein tumhe is naye number se pareshan karne wala tha... But yaar tum to 'Hello' se aage kuch bolne hi nahi deti...!! Tumhare pass yeh naumber to nahi tha naa..?? "

"Naa....Nahi tha..." (Laughing uncotrollably...) "Arey tumhari aawaz kisi bhi number se pehchanungi yaar..."

"Hmmm.... Koi naa.. Main koi aur plan banaunga tumhe pareshan karne....."

"Wo kyon..?? Pareshan karna jaroori hai kyaa..??? ".....

Just a snippet from the conversation that went on and on....

But so true naa.. some voices do not need an introducion. No matter after how long you hear it and wherever you are, you recognise it in a jiffy...!!

Dedicated to the "Hello" boy. Yaar your voice is so unique.. Strong but with a tinge of innocence.. Your style of saying "Hello" since the time I have known you.. Believe me, it has always been the same and thats why you are caught..!! :P :P

Change it if you wanna escape..!! :P ;)

P.S. : I wrote the conversation in Hindi- English mix as it gave a nice feel to it.. Just plain English would not have sounded good...!! So you got any tring- tring tales to share..??

Hain dil ko teri aarzoo,
Par main tujhe naa paa sakoon,
Hain dil ko teri justjoo,
Par main tujhe naa paa sakoon.....

Just sleeping to the tunes of this beautiful song since the past two nights.... Its such a wonderful song.. Just a soothing treat for the ears.... Liked a song so, so, so much after a long time.. While hearing it for the first time, it reminds me of the couple of beautiful songs from the movie "Anwar".

The Lyrics so different... with touch of Urdu words.. a Sufi type song... The word "Madno" itself means "Sajnaa".. so different and nice naa..!! (I googled that one...) The way Kshitij says Madnoo..Mashko... Dilbaroo... Ohhh.. I just get lost in his words..!!!

My favourite line "Main hoon shab tu subah........
Dono jud ke judaa"

The song is really beautiful and yeah definitely a must listen if you like soft, romantic, Hindi music...

Check it out here if you still hvn't come across this song....!!

A tale of.......

Once upon a time there was a kingdom..a land....a place where many people lived.. Have you heard of this place..?? It was a place where there was no one ruler or king. Everyone was their own king. People worked on their own in a way, everyone was each other's friend. They seemed to know every person next door. Even if they did not know each other, they were always ready to help people around. Everyone expressed themselves to the best here and shared thoughts, views ,opinions and incidents from their lives . Their friends were always there to support them or correct them, as situation demanded.

The kingdom was huge and ever expanding... One day a girl who had been amazed by the people in this kingdom decided to visit it and when she was here....she was just fascinated by the place..Slowly, she started to be like the people round talking to everyone, sharing her thoughts and learning from her experiences.. It gave her joy and also helped her to identify herself even better... It became a memorable experience for her and she continued visiting the place more often....

Do you know which kingdom am I talking about..?? It is the kingdom of bloggers and the girl is me... today its my blogs first Birthday. It was exactly a year ago from this date that I started blogging actually and I have been enjoying every moment on this wonderful place since then... I discovered how much I loved writing and it also got to know so many like-minded people around..Someone just like me, some exactly opposite...some confident and open..some like the shy girl-next-door, some masters in writing..some beginners...!! Whatever be the category they fall into, there is one thing that is common.. that is the love for writing and each one combined it with their own style and hence every blogger in this space is unique....!! :)

Talking about my posts.. I have explored so many types in this one year that I am myself surprised...Even today when I go through some of my previous posts, I wonder..Did I actually write it..??? Those experiences, those memories, stories and fictions and even 55-fictions and poems too....!! I am like Ohh My God..!! I don't know if it happens to you all, but at times, I am really amazed...!! :) :)

Its FUN TO BE ONE...and there is only thing I would like to say right now.. "I'M LOVING IT..!!"

Cheers to blogging and all the Kings and Queens in this wonderful Kingdom..!! :) :)

Fear it..?? Try it..!! :)

Superb, sparkling silver and stylish... Wowwww...They look so great...!!

But would I be able to carry it off properly..??

This was the fear I always had when I looked at pencil heels...!! I found them really attractive and if someone would wear it , I would really admire her because it was like a fantasy for me to wear those type of sandals and walk properly in them.. (without falling..!!)

I have always been wearing box or platform heeled sandals but wanted to try pencil heels since long. Whenever I thought of buying it , the next thought would be, but how would I walk in them and considering the number of times I have to get down or climb steps at home, bus, college etc , I always let go off the thought for the time being..

But last month when I went shopping with my aunt, she encouraged me to buy those sandals. Back home I was pretty excited about it. They were silver and had 2 inch pencil heels.I loved it. But my mom was very apprehensive about me wearing those sandals.

At last after the numerous scoldings-cum-warnings from Mom and some tips from my sister, I tried them and guess what...?? I could manage it perfectly well.. I dint even trip over once in them(And I was even wearing a Saree that day..!!)... Though I had to be careful in the beginning while I was walking, I got used to it in a while..!! :)

My fear has vanished I would definitely buy more of those pairs in the future...!!Now this was a small incident about a small fear I had and how I overcame it.

I have heard many a times from people around that when you fear something... you must not give it up.. Instead, you should go ahead and try it..What do you stand to lose..??Even I have given this piece so many times to my cousins while they find something difficult or afraid to try but sometimes forget to apply those for myself...!!

We humans are really ironical at times...!! What say..??

New Age A,B,C...........

Just check this-

A is for apple, and B is for boat,
that used to be right, but now it won't float!

Age before beauty is what we once said,
but let's be a bit more realistic instead.

A's for arthritis;
B's the bad back,

C's the chest pains,
perhaps car-di-ac???

D is for dental decay and decline,
E is for eyesight, can't read that top line!

F is for fissures and fluid retention,
G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.

H high blood pressure--I'd rather have it low;
I for incisions with scars you can show.

J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend,
K is for knees that crack when they bend.

L 's for leprosy, go have a skin check....
M is for memory, I forget what comes next.

N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low;
O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!

P for prescriptions, I have quite a few,
just give me a pill and I'll be good as new!

Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu?
R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.

S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears,
T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears!

U is for urinary; troubles with flow;
V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.

W for worry, now what's going 'round?
X is for X ray, and what might be found.

Y for another year I'm left here behind,
Z is for zest I still have-- in my mind!!!

I've survived all the symptoms, my body's deployed,
and I'm keeping twenty-six doctors fully employed!!!

P.S. : In this fast moving world, we are hearing of all types of illness and diseases that people are suffering...

Now you must be surely thinking that how could I write something so cool..... You are right..This is not my work. I read this somewhere and thought to share it here..!!

Nice work naa...???

I just now wrote a whole article and just when I was about to post it... There was a power cut and just because I had not hit the "Ctrl + S" even once while typing, the whole article vanished...(I was using notepad..!!) Now I will write it again some other day.....!! :(

I don't know why but it always happens with me. Whenever I don't save there has to be a power cut. It would be as short as 5 mins and then the light would be back.... :(

Not only this, whenever I am free and have time to watch TV, something would go wrong... There would no power or there would be no good programmes to watch. I just end up shuffling the channels..!! :(

Similarly, whenever I want to chat or come online...It has happened so many times that my net does not get connected..If it gets connected, there is no one online.... Always happens with me..!! :(

I don't know why but when I get late to reach at home or some other place, something would happen on the way and I would get more late. I wont get the train or go in the wrong way or something It once happened that I got late to reach home... With great difficulty I got a rick and I called home that I would reach in 5 mins. Just then, the driver broke through a signal and I got even more late...!! "Why me??? " is the only thought I get then..!!

Hmm....enough of my sad sad stories...!! Anything that happens with you and makes you think "Ohh...Why it always happens with me..?? "

P.S. : Just reverted back to my previous template. I want some new template..!! Please suggest if there are good sites to download templates..!! :) :)

And I Brought him Home.....!!

At last.. I found him...!!!

I was searching for him since so so long.... I told mom also about it. Today was my last exam and I had told Mom that I would bring him home on the last day. She agreed to it. Actually she thought I was crazy at first but then she said it was fine.

He is my Love. Of late I had started liking him more than even last year.. Even on my way to my exam centre I used to see him and then remember all those cute moments.

Finally while coming home today..I brought him home. Mom found him good.. I always find him cute... so no need to say that.

My brother also liked him but he said, "What yaar...!! You got the male zoo-zoo..?? I find the female ones cuter...!!!!" :P :P

P.S. : I know this was really crazy but I am really loving the cute zoo-zoo soft toy I got today.. Due to exams I had been away for so long from my PC and blog and orkut and everything, that I wanted to write something and so the post..!!! :)

P.P.S. : Next time I would definitely write something better..!! :P

BTW, on 16th May my short story "The Act..!!" got published in DNA Sunday.. I am too happy about it but was a bit busy to write about it earlier...!! Had a great month...!! Just waiting for the next..!!

TC :)

No Emotions...Only Atyachaar..!!

A few weeks back I heard a lot about the TV show "Emotional Atyachaar" saying that how it helped people to check on their partners....!!

Feeling intrigued by what I had heard I asked my brother if he knew about the show. He said yeah and explained me about the concept.. I even watched the show and Ohh God.... The show is really a disaster of Emotions and relationships.

For those who haven't come across this controversial show on Bindass TV, here's a gist for you about the so-called-reality-show. A person who is in a relationship undertakes a "Loyalty check" on their partner. Now, for this they approach the people on this show. For the Loyalty test, the Emotional Attyachar team sends undercover agents to the partner and these agents try to get into talking with the suspect for the test and all these things are recorded using hidden cameras and microphones. These agents come about as very friendly and try to get in touch through some or the other way.

In most of the cases, the suspects also start talking to those agents, get closer to them and start sharing facts about their life and relationships.( In fact, they are made to talk about it by the over sweet and over friendly agents who is what I feel after watching the show). All these things are recorded and shown to the partners who conducted this test. They are shown how unfaithful their partners are and all that blah blah blah emotional stuff....

In the end of the show, they bring both the partners as well as the agents together in front of the camera and then there is a series of swearing, fights, abuses and all emotional attyachar stuff....

What happens after that is not known..!!!If one partner can go to such a show, it shows that he does not trust his partner and when it is proved they get agitated over it and talk about breaking up then and there. Talking about the suspect, if they are found unfaithful, their partner blames them and what if they come out as loyal (who are not distracted by any agents). Nobody in such a case would continue with a partner who doubts him/her to the extent that they conduct such TESTS......

But my question is why are people heading to this level in relationships where there is no element of trust, loyalty or respect for each other. Aren't people wise enough to judge on their own if their partners are loyal to them or are they hiding some facts..?? Talking and clearing up things should help or approaching such TV shows...??

As these shows are getting more and more publicity by telecasting such stuff and also due to added controversies, I am beginning to feel that is there any respect for emotions such as love, respect, faith or trust, in this world or are they mere tools to attract TRPs.......????

"The first thing I do in the morning is check my cell...."Its a group I have joined on FB... But isn't this a fact for the most of us..??

Just talking about yesterday-

I woke up in the morning. Checked my cell besides the pillow.

Nothing new.

Just rubbed my eyes and sent a message to a couple of friends-

"See outside the window...
Sun rising for U,
Flowers Smiling for U,
Birds Singing for U,
'Coz last nite I told them all to wish Good Morning to U...!!

GM :) "

I sent the message and after a while I got a reply-

"Koi fayda nahi yeh sab karke. ;)
Mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai... Sone de mujhe. GNSD..."

GNSD..This was at 9.00 in the morning.... Great friends..!!

I replied-

"Ok..sleep well... GN.. :) :P"

Now this what I want to talk about today........ SMS....

I have developed this habit of hitting the reply button as soon as I read a message.... I don't know but how over the past few months I reply for most of the messages that I receive.. Even the forwards, just like the one above.

SMS conversations were so much a part of my routine till lately... But now I love this mode of communication I love all those messages in my inbox and I even like to reply for them - be it PJ's ( also includes CID PJ's) or Shayaris or thoughts or Quotes...

Also there are some messages where you have to choose some item from a list and then you are said what the list represents..I even like such messages.

Eg: Which symbol you will select,
For your life partner…
Answer will be sent after your reply….
Reply must.This is 100 % True.

Answer (sent after reply)

% Kanjus
= Best Couple
# Every day shopping
$ Non stop kisses
? Half minded
/ A soft touch with a smile
! Bold and smart

Now what connection it has with lifepartner cannot be expalined by even a huge thesis but it is definitely Fun...!!

And such mesages... The one which has figures made using all signs and symbols... They are all also really really cute....

! !

| ! _/ \_

Tring... Tring...

Yaad Dilane Aayi Hon.

Aapke sms Nahi Aa Rahy Hain!

Sms Karo Warna Ghanti Kharab Kar k Bhag Jaon Gi. :-) "

Now the SMS length.... OMG... just 160 words/SMS...
I really find its too short...Specially while chatting. I generally exceed the word limit for one message.. It runs up to 2-3 messages.

I wonder how some people chat in just a couple of words in a message... Just words such as 'k' 'yeah' 'hmm' 'no' '5in' and on, on and on....

My bro also has this habit of just replying in a word to msgs. I asked him once about it to which he replies, rather preaches to me-

"It's not about words.. Its understanding.... Feelings don't need words... Bhavnaon ko samjo.. :P :P"

I thought if there is so much understanding, what is the need to even send such really Short MessageS..!!!

Whenever I write an SMS to someone it is my habit to start wid Hie...Hello.... or atleast end with GM, GD, GE, GN, GNSD, TC etc and loads of smileys... I like to edit messages before sending them. But sometimes I get messages in the evening which have GM written at the end. That really annoys me. How can one not even edit or check that much before sending.

It was the height when one of my younger cousin(lets call him K) sent me an Independence day forward on Republic day.... He dint edit the last line to suit the day. I read and replied...

Me- "Hello..wake up..Today its Republic Day...Not Independence Day...!!"

K- "Ohh..I 4got to edit n chng..."

Me- "Hmmm.... But remember it 4m now..!!" :)

K- "No no teacher...If u say, I will write it in my book a 100 times in my book 'Today is REPUBLIC DAY' and show you....."

Me- "Hehe...naa naa..No need for it...I am not such a strict teacher..!! :P :P

TC... do well with ur exams...Go study nw..Byee..."

And even after saying Byee...we continued talking for some more time before we said the final Byeeee....

Now again this is peculiar about chatting... We continue talking even after saying Byee...cyaaa.... at least 3- 4 times..Ain't it....???

P.S. : I'm loving this SMS style chat. It is really at your convenience, short, sweet, cute and makes me smile.... :)

So what is ur ishhhtyle of SMS..............????

Vacations in Summer...Arrrgghhh... :(

Comes April and it is the time for exams and semesters to wind up. Time to dump your books and enjoy Vacations....

But I really don't understand why should we be having vacations in Summer..??? I mean summers are so hot. I just don't feel like going out anywhere in this sunny weather..So what is the use of having vacation...??Even if I go out, the skin gets all sun burnt. It is not at all pleasant to go out in this weather...Leave alone vacationing. The only place apt for summer vacations would be some cool, cool hill-station.. Else, it can be a total disaster.

Imagine if we had vacations in Winter...Wow... It would be so lovely... Firstly , I would love to sleep till late on cool winter mornings... Then wake up lazily, roam about, have fresh fruits for breakfast and then just go out and enjoy in the pleasant weather outside... Though winters in Mumbai are not so freezing cold, it is the best part of the year according to me... Not for studying or completing assignments.. But just go out for a vacation..!!!

What If we had vacations in Monsoon...?? That would also be great because during monsoons, it is entirely the opposite of what happens in Winter...!! I enjoy the rains but the thought of going out to colleges in monsoons...all drenched up... walking through water blocked lanes... Hmm.. I don't think any more description is needed...Right..?? So whenever it rains, I just feel that all schools and colleges should give vacations and let the students be at home..

But things always do not go as I want them.. (Thankfully.... Or else it would be a mess... :P ) Vacations have been, are and will continue to be during the summers... and in a way.. I Love them too... After all.... Its only during our student life that we get such long vacations...

P.S. These days I am on vacations and at home. So enjoying the most but also missing my college and friends...

Ohh God.. Why is there a "But" in most of my statements..?? :P :)

The Limit

Me- "A limit..??? Why..??"

He- "That I don't know..."

Me- "We talk Freedom of speech, freedom of Expression.. Fair advertisement... What's this..?? It is not done."

"Ma'am..You can buy if you wish...." the shopkeeper said handing over the SMS Bonus card to me, which said UNLIMITED FREE SMS*

*Limited to 5oo SMS per day.

P.S. Just thought of writing about these weird schemes of telecom companies wherein they advertise something and the actual offer is something. Not that 500 sms is less per day..But why cant they advertise it that way..??

Whats your view..??

Don't Stress my Pateince....

Someone has said, “Patience is a virtue. Possess it if you can. Seldom found in Woman, Never found in Man”

Do you agree to it??

Talking about myself, I think I am patient a lot. I am never in a haste to get something or complete my task. I can wait for a reasonable amount of time. Also I try to be patient and calm when someone around me is angry. So,in this way, I am patient.

But..But...But...there are times when I turn impatient too.. When I know something half through, I have to know it completely then and there. There are sometimes when I want to know the things or tell something and I get impatient.. Happening a lot with me lately....

Talking about Men....Ahem Ahem.....

Well... Not about all.... Just want to talk about one of my friends who is very, very, very patient...(Pun intended...!!!)

Some days ago, while I was sitting with my friends in the canteen, discussing over something, my Friend Bharat said "You all are stressing my patience.." I thought I heard something out of the way.. But none of my other friends seemed to notice the words. So I kept quite and the conversation went on.

Again after a few minutes, I told something to my friend who was on the other end of table.. She began laughing. Now it so happened that Bharat did not get the joke or something and he asked me, "What did you say..??"

Now, to this we all replied in unison, "Nothing..You wont understand..!!"

He was so so so frustrated over it that he spoke the same thing "You all are stressing my patience.." This time I was sure I heard it correctly.

I asked... "Stressing my patience..What kind of English is that..??"

He replied back,"That's MY ENGLISH...!!"

I was so amused to hear it. Now this is such a cute part about him.. He gets impatient very very soon. Just start telling him "A..." n then stop.. He would get impatient and again the trademark dialogue. I have never come across any such person in my life yet... Its very unique about him.

He is impatient about so many things... about knowing what we talk...what we do... Even if I get a bit late in replying to him, he would message back, "Reply fast...!!"

Once there was an SMS I got, " Tell me one thing that you don't like about me." When I forwarded it to him, I got the reply- "You all stress my patience....!! You don't tell me so many things..."

There have been so many occasions when we are talking about something else and from there the topic changes to "Don't stress my patience..!!!"

Now I have got so much used to this dialogue that even when I hear or say the word "Patience" the next word I remember is "Stress"..!!

A small suggestion for you Bharat....

"Don't be stressed...Be Patient..!!"

So when does your patience get Stressed???

For the first time...

That night, she was very very tired but when she lied down on bed, she just could not sleep..

All the scenes from the day flashed by her eyes...

One day.. And so many things in her life had changed...

She recollected a dialogue fro ma movie "Life mein bahut saari cheezein pehli baar hoti hai..."

For the first time... She had lied at home while going out...

For the first time... She got the biggest surprise when she knew that he had got a new bike...

For the first time... She sat on the bike with fear but was confident that he would take care of her..

For the first time... She roamed around places, where though she had been earlier, seemed entirely different and new that day...

For the first time... She felt like talking and talking as someone was listening to her with a smile..

For the first time... She walked barefoot on the rocks as the water kissed her feet...

For the first time... When she was about to lose her balance, someone was there to hold her hand...

For the first time... she dint realise how time flew by.....

For the first time... she knew why people in Love spent sleepless nights.....!!

For the first time... she had been on a "Date..!!"

P.S. : For the first time, tried my hand at writing something romantic.... :P

Actually I had found this pic sometime back and wanted to write something based on it..How is it..??? :)

Good-bye "Masti ki Paathshala..!!"

Give me some sunshine
Give me some rain
Give me another chance
I wanna grow up once again...

Wondering why I am writing songs here...?? Well I m just humming this song which I heard at my farewell the other day....

In case you dint notice, my classmates made some customisations for the song to suit to our commerce background..!!

That was our last day at college officially. We had a farewell party which was really wonderful. Had awesome performances, award distribution and above it, DJ too.. A memorable evening with mixed feelings...!!

This phase of my life- "college" is also getting over now...

Feels kind of nostalgic...

5 years spent in the same place...

When I came I dint even know the A, B ,C of commerce...

Today I know about so many concepts relating to accounts, banking, finance etc etc...

Felt here like "just out of shell" after school...

But now I realise my college was also a shell....The Real Open World is yet to be faced..

New place, new friends, new professors teaching new things.... thats how I felt in the beginning...

But now every nook and corner feels so known and so familiar...

These three years of graduation were specially very, very memorable for me. It was a whole new world in the beginning. A class strength of 60 with just the number of boys sufficient for a cricket team.. :P

Teachers coming in and teaching their own subjects.. the freedom to attend or skip those lectures... No need for writing down n maintaining all notes...all this seemed so so exciting..

But the three years just passed in a jiffy. Even today when I pass by my first and second year classroom, my mind flashes all the memories of moments spent there. The Lectures, exams, punishments, events, results, every single thing, every single moment... I still remember the last year when we had bidden Farewell to our seniors and I had a discussion with my friends, "Next year it would be us..." Dint know this day would come so so early. Some times I feel like stopping the clock and live in just that moment not wanting to move ahead..I just want to enjoy and live that moment. This was one such occasion. But alas, as Time and tide wait for none..Life has to move on...

It was time to bid good bye to a wonderful college , great teachers and lovely friends and move ahead from Masti ki Paathshala to discover the new opportunities and adventures on the roads ahead.....

I just got this sms from my classmate after our farewell party

"Separation is a wound that no one can heal. But,

Remembrance is a Gift that no one can steal.."

So true and touching.. Just loved it...!! Will move ahead with this thought..!!

P.S. : This post dedicated to all my college friends. Life with you all was really wonderful and I am really gonna miss this place a lot.

Wish you all Good Luck for your future. TC :)
